The CROWN Safety Tap has a simple to remove and replace tap handle. When the tap handle is removed, the hot water cannot be dispensed from the unit.

Product Description
The CROWN Safety Tap allows the user to easily disconnect and remove the tap handle piece, in
order to render the tap inoperable.
 
When inoperable, water cannot be dispensed via the tap.
 
Product Uses
The CROWN Safety Tap is ideal for use in settings where (generally due to health and safety considerations) there is a need to ensure hot water cannot be dispensed from the hot water unit at certain times or in specific circumstances.
 
How is the handle removed?
The Tap Handle Remove and Replace pin mechanism is a pushbutton quick release pin which slots into the handle, through the tap spindle and then through the other side of the handle. 
 
The pin mechanism requires the user to intuitively clasp the pin and push the centre button with the thumb, whilst holding the handle with the other hand. Once the centre button is pushed, simply pull the pin from the handle and the water can no longer be dispensed. 
 
Replacement of the handles is done by conducting the removal process, in reverse.
